Neo40, by the company Humann, is a popular Nitric Oxide supplement, and on the surface, it looks like it could be a good product too. The website looks very professional with charts showing the results of clinical studies and how well this product works. It also appears to contain beneficial ingredients for boosting Nitric Oxide levels in the body, such as L-citrulline and Beetroot powder. However, does it really have what it takes to make an effective Nitric Oxide supplement or is all just smoke and mirrors? Continue reading our Neo40 review to find out.
Is Neo40 Effective?
When a product claims to be a superior Nitric Oxide supplement, by all means it should be effective. This product claims to help maintain healthy Nitric Oxide levels in the body which helps support healthy blood pressure levels, improve blood flow and support cardiovascular health. It references a study it conducted which shows an improvement in blood pressure after 30 days, with graphs to show the improvement. However, there are no links to the actual details of this study or its participants.
While we like that this product includes L-citrulline and Beetroot powder which have been shown to boost the production of Nitric Oxide in the body, it is disappointing that these ingredients are part of a low dosage proprietary blend with two more ingredients, Hawthorn Berry and Sodium Nitrate. This means that you don’t know how much of each of these beneficial ingredients you are actually getting. Is most of the blend made up of Hawthorn Berry? We have no way of checking. This product also seems to be lacking many other ingredients which are beneficial for boosting Nitric Oxide production such as L-arginine, Pine Bark, Fenugreek, and Quercetin to name but a few. Another issue that raises a red flag is the number of additional inactive ingredients included in the formula, including stevia, xylitol, and several natural flavorings. These additional ingredients, added to make the dissolvable tablet more palatable, may potentially water down the active ingredients, making them less effective and rendering the product useless.
Is Neo40 Safe?
We did not find any ingredients in this product that would cause it to be unsafe, such as uncertified stimulant ingredients or other herbs. In general, the ingredients in this product are deemed to be a safe herbal supplement if taken according to proper recommendations. There are no reported side-effects.
Our main concern is that this product does not include L-arginine as well as provides a low dosage so consumers may need to take more in order to achieve the results they want.
Summary
Neo40 seems to have the right idea in selling a Nitric Oxide supplement by providing a professional looking website with graphs and the mention of a clinical study, however, the actual formula of the product is where some issues arise for us. The dosage of the key active ingredients was relatively low compared to other products we have reviewed and it was disappointing that all the Nitric Oxide boosting ingredients were in a single blend, making the individual amounts of each ingredient even lower. Moreover, leaving us with no real idea of how much of each ingredient can be found in the product leaving us with no real gauge of how well we think that this product may perform. Many other key ingredients that have been clinically proven to be beneficial were also missing from this product such as L-arginine, Pine Bark, Fenugreek and Quercetin. The list of additional inactive ingredients was another strike against this product as they water down the strength of the active ingredients. We believe you will be better off choosing a product that contains more beneficial ingredients, at a higher concentration and with fewer additional ingredients.
