We consider EviDenS de Beauté The Moisturizing Lotion to be a better product than others out there because of its high-quality formula. It is manufactured from spring water, 1 patented ingredient and 3 other active ingredients. This is what impressed us more than the fairy tale behind this skincare line. The story goes that a French man, Charles-Edouard Barthes, created this brand from his passion of Japanese culture and his love of his beautiful Japanese wife, Eriko Nakamura. EviDenS de Beauté has its own laboratory in Tokyo where Barthes formulates his products as a marriage between the philosophies of Eastern and Western cultures. The basis of all his skincare products is the Eau de la Foux, which is mineralized, spring water shipped in from France. However, there is only one patented ingredient, as opposed to the five patented ingredients contained in our #1 choice. That said, this product is still better quality than other moisturizers out there, so we wanted to give you the complete rundown.
Is EviDenS de Beauté The Moisturizing Lotion Effective?
Not only does this skincare line have a sophisticated French name, but it actually has a part of France in every bottle. Eau de la Foux is water which is flown from France to the laboratory in Tokyo. There is a legend going back 2,000 years about the healing properties of this spring water. In combination with 4 active ingredients, 1 of which is patented, this moisturizing lotion claims to be the optimal combination of the East and West.
We were impressed to see that although the English website is not as complete as the French one, the customer service is excellent. The online chat is fast and responsive and filled in details for us such as that this product does not test on animals and does not contain parabens or hormones. We were, however, slightly disappointed to hear that it does contain a fragrance, as that can be irritating to sensitive skin.
This product is marketed as a luxury brand with each bottle costing about $250! The problem is finding customer reviews to ensure that it is as effective as it says it is. Unfortunately, we found a scarcity of reviews in both English and French. It may be that there are more reviews in Japanese or simply that people using this product don't leave reviews. Either way, it leaves the consumer lacking the confidence to buy it and try it.
Is EviDenS de Beauté The Moisturizing Lotion Safe?
We did not find any ingredients in this product that would cause it to be unsafe, but it is not clear from its website exactly what the concentration is of its active ingredients.
Summary
EviDenS de Beauté The Moisturizing Lotion looks like an effective product which combines natural spring water with biotechnology. However, with a significant price tag, we would expect more than 4 active ingredients, only 1 of which is patented. Because of this it falls slightly short of our #1 product.
