FAQ

Q: What is IBS, and what can an IBS supplement do?

IBS is a very common disorder characterized by abdominal pain, cramps, gas, diarrhea, and constipation. The worry and stress of experiencing these symptoms can seriously take over a person's life and experiencing the symptoms can reduce one's quality of life.

There are many things that can be done to minimize symptoms and manage life with IBS so that normal lives can be led.

Supplementation of natural digestive enzymes can help keep the digestive system healthy, by supporting the breakdown of food and keeping things moving along as they should. Soothing and anti-inflammatory ingredients such as Peppermint Oil and Ginger are also important to help relieve the pain and discomfort living with IBS can bring.

Q: Do all IBS supplements work?

Unfortunately, no. Many fly-by-night companies just ride these trends, manufacturing inferior products with the wrong ingredients and proportions. They often use cheap additives and synthetic ingredients that do not have the optimal desired effect as active ingredients.

Q: What should I look for?

Make sure the supplement you choose contains a minimum of 10 natural digestive enzymes. It should contain key, clinically proven ingredients such as Peppermint Oil, Turmeric, Ginger, Psyllium, and Bioperine® for increased absorption and fast results. It should be 100% pure with no added unnecessary ingredients that may reduce the effectiveness of the product. Besides this, there should be nothing else included other than the capsule itself.

Q: What about safety? Are there side effects to watch out for?

From our research, we did not find any negative interactions between the ingredients we researched for treating IBS and other medications or conditions. However, we still recommend consulting with a healthcare professional if you have a pre-existing medical condition or take any medications on a regular basis. Also, pregnant or nursing women are advised not to take any supplements without doctor’s approval.

Q: How do I take an IBS supplement?

You should take the capsules as per the manufacturer’s instructions. Usually, it is 2 capsules a day. Some people like taking the complete dosage all at once, but we recommend spacing it out to get the most from the effective ingredients. As with any type of supplement, you should not exceed the recommended daily dosage, since this can pose health risks.

Q: How long will it take to see the effects?

Some customers we spoke to reported experiencing positive changes in as little as one week. For others, it took about a month. Results also seem to be a bit different for each person. Some felt unbelievable change right away, while others took a little longer. Many of the reputable brands we reviewed offer refunds to customers who don’t get the results they want within any time frame.

Q: How much do IBS supplements cost?

The cost of IBS supplements varies based on the manufacturer. Many of them are worthless, just random companies with cheap quality products trying to cash in on the trend. Some of these companies sell their supplements for as much as $100 per bottle, which we think is a bit too expensive. Most of the really good supplements we tested fell in the $40-$50 range. Others may appear cheaper, but they often boast a one-month supply when they’re really giving you half the recommended dosage with plenty of fillers and binders.

Q: What’s the best IBS supplement brand to buy?

Each person will experience varying results with different products, so it’s hard to say offhand which is best. However, we particularly liked Research Verified IBS Relief. We found it to be the best of the 40+ products we researched, based on the product quality, customer feedback, and the company’s customer service.

You can experiment to see which product is right for you, but if you’re looking for a well-reviewed product you can count on, we think you’d love Research Verified IBS Relief, a high-quality product at a fair price.
