Malodor is a condition characterized by namely chronic bad breath (also known as Halitosis), body odor (B.O.) and foot odor. It can be caused by a variety of factors including improper poor hygiene, diet, illness, everyday stress, hormonal changes and certain types of medication can all affect the way a person smells. These odors originate within the body and are emitted through the skin, mouth and other orifices.
Essentially, an effective bad breath or body odor remedy works by addressing the root of the problem both internally and externally, by balancing good and bad bacteria within and outside the body. In doing so, chronic malodor is neutralized. A good formula should also promote prevention and support optimal health by including ingredients that expel toxins, and inhibit the accumulation and overgrowth of bacteria.
Unfortunately, no. Many fly-by-night companies just ride supplement trends, manufacturing inferior products with the wrong ingredients and proportions. They often use cheap fillers and binders that can block the desired effects of the key ingredients. Some focus only upon bad breath, others target body and breath odors however, fail to contain ingredients that have been clinically proven effective.
From our research, we did not find any interference between the ingredients we found within the bad breath and body odor remedies we took a look at, and other medications or conditions. However, we always recommend consulting with a physician or a dentist if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or nursing, or take medications on a regular basis.
Adults should take 2 to 3 capsules a day, with an 8 oz. glass of water, as a dietary supplement. For ongoing support, take 2 capsules daily, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. As with any type of supplement, you should not exceed the daily recommended dosage, since this can pose health risks.
Some customers we spoke to reported feeling immediate relief. For others, it took a few days for the full effects. Results seem to be a bit different for each person but most people will experience results within a short period of time. Many of the reputable brands we reviewed offer refunds to customers who don’t see the results they want in any time frame.
The cost of malodor remedies varies based on the manufacturer. Many of them are worthless, just random companies with cheap quality products trying to cash in on a trend. Some of these companies sell their supplements for as much as $100 per bottle, which we think is a bit too high. Most of the really good supplements we tested fell in the $40-$50 range. Others may appear cheaper, but they often boast a one-month supply when they’re really giving you half the recommended dosage with plenty of fillers and binders or they only treat bad breath or body odor and not both.
