Burn-XT, manufactured by Jacked Factory, fell to the #2 spot when it didn’t quite make our cut as a top appetite suppressant for several reasons. While it is produced by a reputable supplement manufacturer and comes at an affordable price, the product is dependent on stimulants to provide its appetite suppressing and weight loss benefits. It contains a whopping 270mg of caffeine which is the equivalent of about 2 and half cups of coffee. It also contains Green Tea Leaf Extract which also contains caffeine. We like that it includes Cayenne Pepper and BioPerine® in its formula and that it is manufactured in a cGMP-certified facility so you know it meets industry quality standards. Is Burn-XT Effective?
With the high amount of caffeine in this product, we are sure it will boost your energy. However, how the amount of caffeine affects you will depend on your tolerance. The daily recommended amount of caffeine is 400 mg so you should keep this in mind if you consume caffeine in other ways while taking this product.
The manufacturer claims that this product is designed to increase energy, burn fat, suppress appetite and preserve muscle mass. One of the key ingredients in this product is the amino acid, acetyl-l-carnitine, which has been shown to have some appetite suppressing benefits as well as promoting tissue regeneration which makes it a popular ingredient in workout supplements. Studies have shown it to be beneficial with fasting-induced hunger. While we were pleased to see that both Cayenne Pepper and BioPerine® are both present in this product, we were disappointed that it doesn’t include any ingredients to help curb cravings, such as Gymnema sylvestre. Fighting sugar cravings is probably what many people struggle with the most when it comes to sticking to a healthy eating plan so it is unfortunate this isn’t taken into consideration. How this product will work for you seems to be heavily dependent on your tolerance for caffeine.
We like that this product is suitable for vegetarians and does not include any binders, fillers or preservatives. The price is also affordable, however, there are no discounts for buying in bulk which is unfortunate. Though, with the high amount of stimulants in the product, it is not clear how safe it is for long-term consumption.
Bottom Line: This product could be effective for increasing energy levels and burning fat, but it could also cause jitteriness in some individuals from the high amount of caffeine. We appreciate the thermogenic ingredient, Cayenne Pepper, and the inclusion of BioPerine® to increase absorption, however, we think it could provide more. If it included Gymnema sylvestre, it would target weight loss from another angle - that of curbing sugar cravings which is the biggest struggle many people face.
Is Burn-XT Safe?
This product contains natural ingredients and is considered a safe supplement if it is taken according to the proper manufacturer's recommendations. It contains a high amount of caffeine which may negatively affect some people. The manufacturer states that this product should not be taken within 4 hours of going to bed. It is also advised that to start off, the customer should take half the recommended dose to see how their body reacts to the ingredients. It is always recommended to speak to your doctor before taking any new product if you are taking any other medications, have underlying health conditions, or are pregnant or nursing.
Summary
We liked that this product seems to be a quality supplement from a trustworthy manufacturer. We really appreciate that this product is manufactured in a lab that is cGMP-certified and that it comes backed by a 90-day money back guarantee. It also contains clinically-proven ingredients which have been shown to be beneficial for weight loss. However, we are concerned by the amount of caffeine found in this product. This could lead to numerous unwanted side effects and carries a lower safety profile compared to stimulant-free appetite suppressants. As we know, caffeine is also addictive over time so this is something to take into consideration if you are looking for a long-term solution for curbing hunger and suppressing appetite. When there are effective appetite suppressants which don’t contain stimulants, is there any real need to turn to a product which does contain potentially harmful stimulants?
