Himalaya UriCare Review

UriCare by Himalaya fell to the #3 spot, when it didn’t quite make our cut as a top supplement. While this product does have some strong points, it failed in our eyes for containing only a herbal proprietary blend that included Didymocarpus and Indian Madder, two ingredients which they claim promote the normal filtration efforts of the kidneys. They also state that their product also supports the normal synthesis of uric acid and supports antioxidant levels in the blood that counter free-radical damage. However, it only contains homeopathic herbal ingredients, we felt that it should have also included more clinically proven ingredients that combat urinary tract infections, such as Lingonberry, D-Mannose and Cranberry. We felt that the ingredient list was incomplete and the inclusion of clinically proven ingredients would have improved this formula. That being said, the ingredients it does contain are good quality and we felt that it was definitely a well made product.

Is UriCare Effective?

While this product doesn’t contain as many clinically proven key ingredients as our #1 choice, we believe it should be effective. Let us stress, should be. In the lab, its ingredients showed consistency with their label claims.

The main issue here is that UriCare is offering a product with a proprietary blend. A proprietary blend lists its ingredients but without the amounts. This anomalous ingredient list might be impressive to some consumers, but in reality, the lack of amounts signals to nothing more than “label decoration” and is intended to hide the fact the formula contains very little of the active ingredients listed on the bottle in an attempt to fool consumers. Further tests proved inconclusive for demonstrating dosage amounts. Not all supplements work the same way for everyone and the fact that it does not contain many key clinically proven ingredients might affect its effectiveness and that concerned us. Overall, UriCare seems to have a good formula, however, we were unable to establish a link between most of the ingredients and any benefit they may hold for treating or preventing urinary tract infections, which ended up knocking it down to the #3 spot.

Bottom Line: We feel that the limited number of clinically proven ingredients in this formula could reduce its effectiveness and not provide an optimal total care system for urinary tract infections. It is well known that health supplements can vary and work adversely for different people, due to each body’s unique metabolism.

Is UriCare Safe?

The ingredients in this product, if taken according to proper recommendations, would provide a safe herbal supplement. It has no reported side effects and can be taken with most medications.

The only concern with this supplement is overdosing. Some consumers think that they can get ahead faster and see better results by taking more than the recommended amount. As there are some missing key ingredients consumers may feel the need to supplement this product. It is important to keep in mind that taking more than the recommended daily dose of certain ingredients could potentially pose some health risks. If you stick with the recommended dosage and stay consistent, you should see results soon enough.

Another further issue was the lack of a money back guarantee. We were unable to discover what consumers could do if they were unlucky enough to experience no benefit from using this product. Money back guarantees are indicative of a manufacturer’s confidence in their product, the fact that we could not find one, raised a red flag for us. Moreover, we were unable to find any customer reviews for this product, no details were listed on their website. This lost credibility for the product.

Summary

We believe this product could be improved, by adding a few more key ingredients, providing a money back guarantee in case you are not satisfied with it and customer feedback to see how the product performed. But without these elements, we had to place this product in our #3 spot.
