Doctor's Best Resveratrol Review

Doctor’s Best Resveratrol didn’t quite make it to our top spot due to a number of reasons. However, with its generous dose of Resveratrol, it makes a solid second choice. Key active ingredients that we found to be missing in this product are an added polyphenol-rich antioxidant, such as Red Wine or Grape Seed extract, and BioPerine®. As outstanding a product that this is, without these added actives, it just falls short. In addition, we didn’t find any indication that the product comes with a money-back guarantee. Taking all this into account, we had to place it as our second choice.

Is Doctor’s Best Resveratrol Effective?

With regards to the type of Resveratrol used in this supplement, it ticks all our boxes. The Resveratrol used here is Trans-Resveratrol of 98% purity and is derived from the rhizome root of Japanese Knotweed. From our research, this is the most effective and active form of Resveratrol from the most superior source. In addition to this, the dosage is very generous, with 600 mg per capsule which gives you 1200 mg of Trans-Resveratrol per 2-capsule daily serving.

One of the issues we had with this product is that it doesn’t include a polyphenol-rich blend of Red Wine and Grape Seed extract. This combination has been shown to have strong antioxidant qualities that behave synergistically with Trans-Resveratrol to provide optimal health benefits. Additionally, it is missing BioPerine® or any other absorbing agent. Resveratrol generally has a low bioavailability factor, so without BioPerine® or anything similar, it is not nearly as effective.

Bottom Line: This product has the promised beginnings of a winning Resveratrol supplement. It contains a high daily serving of the active form of Resveratrol - Trans-Resveratrol but unfortunately it doesn’t have anything else to back it up. It doesn’t have any other antioxidant factor (such as Red Wine and Grape Seed extract), and it’s missing BioPerine®. It is well known that dietary supplements can work differently for various people, due to each body’s unique metabolism, but we felt that it would have only benefited by adding a Grape Wine blend and BioPerine®.

Is Doctor’s Best Resveratrol Safe?

There’s no reason this product wouldn’t be safe to use. It contains the best type of Trans-Resveratrol available, and the most effective. This product should give you results if you are consistent with taking it, even though it may take longer to see results (because it lacks the inclusion of BioPerine®). There are no reported side effects, but you should always consult with a healthcare professional to be sure.

The thing that does bother us regarding this product though, is that it contains nothing else besides Trans-Resveratrol. There are no ingredients to "bolster" the Trans-Resveratrol such as Red Wine or Grape Seed extract. Also, it seemed strange that the company doesn’t seem to offer a money-back guarantee. For these reasons, we are more wary of this product.

Doctor’s Best Resveratrol Review Summary

This product has such a strong base, that the fact that it's missing so many important points is quite disappointing. The fact that it contains the highest purity form of Trans-Resveratrol in such a generous dosage, makes it very promising. It's a bit of a missed opportunity that this product doesn’t contain any other form of antioxidant nor any absorption facilitator, especially when they’ve clearly done the research as to what form of Resveratrol is the most effective. To us, it seems obvious to add in that little bit extra to push it over the edge from other competitors. Another clear miss for us, was that there doesn’t seem to be any money-back guarantee, nor any multi-purchase options. With all these elements missing, we had to place this product in our #2 spot.
