Is Maelys Cosmetics B-TIGHT Effective?

We love that B-TIGHT utilizes Soluble Collagen and Sodium Hyaluronate for helping to retain the skin’s moisture for a plump look. Other ingredients in the formula are Pink Pepperslim, a plant extract which they claim is proven to smooth the look of fatty skin; and Guarana Seed Extract, which is meant to wake up tired skin by energizing and refreshing its appearance. While these are good ingredients that have been shown to be highly effective, we did have some concerns about the formula.

First, this formulation does not contain any of the other key ingredients we recommend. Ingredients such as Pullulan and Algae Extract support skin regeneration and maintain Collagen, while Grape Seed Extract provides antioxidant benefits that help to protect the skin from environmental damage. This formula does not contain these beneficial ingredients. What it does unfortunately contain are colorants, which can cause irritation in some people, as well as fragrance from an unknown source, which may also lead to irritation.
