NutriEssentials Holy Basil Review

NutriEssentials fell to the #3 spot when it didn’t quite make our cut as a top supplement. While this product does have some strong points, it really failed in our eyes for not containing holy basil extract standardized to 2.5% ursolic acid. Its lack of real consumer reviews on the website also made us wonder if it even works.

Is NutriEssentials Holy Basil Effective?

While this capsule does not contain the recommended concentration of ursolic acid in the active ingredient, we believe it should be effective. However, we cannot find any proof on the website that this product actually works. There are very little reviews to tell us whether this company is worth buying from.

We found only a minimal number of reviews for this product. Even negative reviews are not necessarily a bad thing at all; we want to see a company that fixes problems and focuses on good customer service. But without any reviews, we are left with a lot of questions and no answers.

The other issue here is that NutriEssentials is offering a product that contains less than 2.5% ursolic acid holy basil extract, which was recommended by clinical trials. This manufacturer has tweaked the proven formula and it is hard for us to know if this dosage will provide the same results.

Another strike against this product was the fact that it is offered only as a single bottle- one month’s worth. Sometimes, you can see results from a supplement in just 1 week and other times it can take nearly a month to reach and maintain the maximum health benefits. Most other companies offer multiple package deals for several month’s worth of bottles, which can maximize results and also lower the price per bottle by quite a bit. With NutriEssentials Holy Basil, you’re usually stuck paying the one-bottle price. Does that mean this company expects people to buy only one bottle and never buy from them again? It’s hard to say because they certainly don’t share customer experiences, but that’s what it seems like from their website.

Bottom Line: We are not sure if NutriEssentials Holy Basil is effective due to the fact that the product is not formulated using 2.5% holy basil extract, which was recommended in clinical studies. It is well known that supplements can work differently for different people, due to each body’s unique makeup. We  tried to find positive reviews and success stories on their website, but unfortunately we could not find enough information that leads us to believe that this product will definitely work.

Is NutriEssentials Holy Basil Safe?

This product contains holy basil extract standardized to 2.0% ursolic acid. It has no reported side effects and can be taken with most medications.

The only concern with this supplement is overdosing. Since this supplement is not the full recommended strength for holy basil, some consumers think that they can get results faster by taking more than the recommended amount. It is important to keep in mind that taking more than the recommended dosage could potentially pose some health risks.

Summary

We believe this could be a good product, with a reformulation to 2.5% ursolic acid holy basil extract and a higher capsule dosage. But without verifiable consumer reviews on the website and a daily dosage that falls short of the recommended amount, we had to place this product in our #3 spot.
